Happy Belated B-Day

Dear Bopcha,

A most Happy Birthday! Here's to another 90.

Sunday

My goodness, but this has been a la-z-y weekend for Bill and I (but not for the kiddos - Noah and JB both worked on "Black Friday" and said it was crazy!).

After church today, we picked up Noah and went to Costco, and then to downtown Seattle to buy Noah a couple more pair of work shoes. We were heading back to the car when we saw Murray, Tory and Nikole!!! Or, they saw us ... anyway, it was a very pleasant surprise!

We are excited and scared about the upcoming Beaver/Duck Civil War game. The last time the Beavers went to the Rose Bowl was 1965, I believe. This week we have 3 basketball games and one Beaver football game. The perfect week!

Love,

Dee

Happy Birthday Sid!!

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday dear Sid

Happy Birthday to you.

Love from KC, Tom, and the Zoiboyz

Beware!

Ha!

We have much to be thankful for ...

Sid's sisters contemplate how they can continue to make his life a living nightmare!

KC launches the plot by telling Sid how he needs to come to Colorado and dig cactus.

Kay has special plans in mind for the little boy who used to aggravate her so much!

Murray joins the plot, telling Sid to do things to his computer that will cause the computer to give his uncle electric shocks when he tries to use it!

Tory smiles, thinking of how much fun it would be to short sheet her uncle's farm bed!

Bopcha listen carefully to the plot and gives permission, which makes Diana very happy ...

Bopcha and Judi decide that Sid should be forgiven all of his youthful pranks since it is Bopcha's 90th birthday.

Judith puts the finishing touches on the table.

Bill carves the roast.

Noah wants Uncle Sid to know that Noah is the tallest guy at the party.

Jessica's masterpiece, made with fresh ginger, is ready.

The perfect end to a perfect meal.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Why, Diana, why?

Why did I think I could take basketball pictures? Why did I think it could be done with a minimal time committment?

I took 500 photos last night at Parent's Night (the four Mercer Island teams scrimmaged against their own teammates) and spent an hour this morning deleting 350 of them! The other 150 ranged from "OK if you are this kid's mom" to "what sport are these blurry people playing?"

Truthfully, it was fun. I have a lot to learn about what my limitations are (automatic focus does not take into consideration the fact that what the player in the lower left hand corner is doing is the most important!). Anyway, I should improve over time, and I should be able to render satisfactory results for purposes of the online parent newsletter.

Noah got a job!!!! I knew that suit would do the trick! He heard back from the company yesterday and goes in to fill out the paperwork today. It may or may not be a keeper type of job, but he is excited and he will learn something, even if it is awful. The company is JAG, Inc. and, of course, he will begin in sales - but not cold calls or door to door. He will be located in a Fry's Electronics Store or a Home Depot store, "marketing" Direct TV, which is one of JAG's customers. Anyway, that's what I think is happening. They promised management training etc. and will accommodate his need to finish his last month of school.

Jessica and Bill are going to bake pies today, as they both have the day off. Tomorrow we will take the pies to the O'Bara's house and hang out with the neighbors. Very easy for me -- I am at work! Hooray!

Happy TGiving to you all!

Love,

Dee

Happy Festivities

Hello,

So sorry we could not be there. It certainly looks like it would have been lots of fun to get together with everyone and to celebrate such a wonderful occassion, Bopcha at 90! I love the photo with Bopcha in front of her 90 candle. That is really sweet.

Looks like Judi delivered her usual culinary festival. What a delight I'm sure. By the way, Sid and I got to enjoy some of Judi's fine cooking. In a package for Sid's birthday, were colorful little jars of "Judi-made" jams. They were delicious. I have a real weakness for good jam. To me it's like eating dessert. I absolutely loved the cherry jam. It was filled with huge chunks of cherries and it had this really firm consistency. I was eating it right out of the jar. I just can't resist cherry jam that good. I asked Sid to hide it from me, or I will eat it all. On Saturday morning, Sid and I sat at the kitchen table, sipped our coffee while spreading little spoons full of jam on our crackers. We ate lots of it. Bit of a sugar fix, don't you think?

Well, I hope everyone is well and Bopcha, your 90th is truly a celebration.

Much love and affection to all!

Sandra

Bday- Whew!

Frustrations Abound

Sid - I loaded a few pictures from Bop's birthday party -- a little over exposed but something to share. Unfortunately, I cannot resize them or get them to show up in the blog. I think you disabled my account or something. Making me crazy. Anyway, could you please resize and post the pictures on my behalf? We missed you and Sandra. Love KC
