Monday afternoon

Mike the woodcutter did a lot of work this weekend - about 8 hours worth. He'll be back in two weeks. I got 6 free pallets from Timber Supply today, and we had a few of our own, so when Mike starts splitting the wood, we can stack it up off of the ground.

Record rainfall for September made the swimming hole pretty.

Monday, later in the morning

Arrrgggghhh!!!!

I gave the little mole a meaningful burial.

We made some room for the new wood, but it won't be enough. You can see that the wood on that side (not the stuff we bought last year) also needs splitting. It is really hard to make one of the big round logs burn.

John, the fence guy.

Sunday at the farm

We had Noah's birthday celebration at the farm. Dinner out with Aunt Judi and Aunt Kay, then cake and presents at the farm.

The inner glass of the oven is broken. Replacement part is $109.00 (cheapest). I am not sure how old the stove is. Query, do we replace or repair?

Saturday with Mike the woodcutter

For the record, Bill did not help Mike cut these two huge piles of wood. Tomorrow Mike will split the wood with his splitter. This is money well spent!
