Large wood inspection and cement pour

Cement trucks are pouring cement into the new laundry room .

Kathleen and Brad look at the big culvert that brings Griffith Creek onto our property. Brad was pre-touring the large wood placements and other water related matters in preparation for the Master Woodland Manager class that will tour on our property in early May.

Ranger service, hydraulics and more!

Bert came to the farm to pick up the Ranger for servicing in Tangent.

Remodeled bathroom and certified tree farm

We got our American Tree Farm System certification! Too bad we got only one bumper sticker.
Sid remodeled the downstairs bathroom and fixed the toilet leak that had been active since before Unk died!
The little pump house is ready for the city water pump to be installed.

Lovely March

This sensor is near the water meter located just as you enter the woods on the loop trail. What is it?

Cement, scotch broom, trail clearing and a new bathroom floor

Did someone drive into the ditch? All ended well. No damage to the Ranger or to its driver!

Pretty bluebells growing in the woods.
Bianca is, as usual, being helpful as the cement truck pours cement for the city water pump floor.
Well pipes are also placed in the concrete.
Even after a couple of pulling sessions, scotch broom remains on the site near the field.
Some improvement can be seen, but at least one more pulling session is required.
Whaaaat? A scotch broom plant showed up uninvited to the field.
Sid is working on replacing the downstairs bathroom floor. Mold covers the subfloor where there was leaking.

Working in the snow

Bill, Bianca and Izzy … pruning apple trees

Two dead apple trees removed and the remaining trees pruned. The slope is bereft of good soil, so some spring fertilizer will help.
Kay removes an obstruction from the loop trail.
