ATV crash in Toledo kills Lebanon woman, injures man

A woman died and a man was hospitalized after an all-terrain vehicle crashed early today in Toledo, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office reported.
Deputies responded about 3:25 a.m. to the 300 block of Schlecht Road, said Deputy Abby Dorsey, a sheriff's spokeswoman.
Emily Mae Smith, 20, of Lebanon, a passenger on the ATV, was found dead about 35 feet off the roadway.
The ATV operator, Nicholas James Estrada, 25, of Lebanon, was injured and appeared impaired, Dorsey said.
Estrada was taken to Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport. Hospital officials declined to release his condition.
Oregon State Police troopers and Lincoln City and Newport police assisted in the investigation, which is continuing.
