The Storm is Coming
Hello,
We had threats of a hurricane earlier, but it looks like it has diverted but we may be getting a tremendous storm. The skies look ominous right now. I think many of us are looking forward to a nice refreshing rain, although I am not so sure it will bring cooler temperatures, even if it does descend upon us soon.
It has been really hot and humid and I think Sid is longing for the Oregon weather that he just left behind. He had a really nice time seeing all of you. It certainly would have been nice to make a trip out there, but it has been an extraordinary year in terms of work, etc.... Nina and Alex are still appreciative of their little ventures to Oregon, they talked about having missed it this summer. Bopcha, they have become accustomed to coming out and seeing you every summer and visiting your farm. It is come to be a very special summer activity for them that has been great for their maturity.
Diana, you look so spectacular in your white blouse, I really like it. How neat to gather with friends you worked with in the Easter Seals. How did you find each other? Have you been keeping in touch all these years?
It's finally Friday and I am looking forward to going home and being entertained by our little kitty - who just runs around chasing things that look "imaginary" to me, but I am sure she really sees them - things such as bugs. We will have to attach a good picture of her soon, before she grows up and is not quite as cute. Sorry I am biased to kittens. The photos of course will not be as interesting as KC's photos. KC, your photos are great. By the way, hope Tom had a really nice birthday.
How about Nina in her horse-back riding wear? She is so into the horses, it is one thing that is keeping her attention as she slips into her pre-teen years. She is doing pretty well with her riding.
