Almost Fainted!!

Oh my Lord, Diana. I'm amazed you are up and walking about. I can hardly believe how severe your injuries look, downright scary to be truthful. Your 2nd day photo came up first thankfully, otherwise I probably would have fainted for real rather than suffering from the quesies big time. It's hard to believe you didn't bust your cheekbone/zygomatic arch or loosen teeth as a consequence of hitting the ground so hard with your face. Horrifying. Bop gave me some warning about your fall, but my wildest imagination didn't come close to the pictures you posted on Bop's blog. What about other injuries? I don't expect your face was the only part of your body to hit. I think if I'd seen your picture before I started running down Cheyenne mountain routinely, my budding jogging career back in those days would have come to a screeching halt. Yeow!!

And oh, by the way (BTW), Tom and I arrived home safely last night (Sunday) at 11 pm Colorado time. We had been on our feet (or seats as it were) since the wedding process began Saturday at 8 am Germany time (translated to Colorado time: 1 am Saturday morning). The wedding celebrations started at the hair dresser at 0830 Sat German time, marriage ceremony at 1230 Sat, "coffee and cake" at Uschi's cousin's restaurant at her riding stable for close friends and family members at 1430 to 1730 Sat, a catered dinner at a old converted grain-storage hall at 1800 Sat followed by music, dancing, and more eating and drinking until 0300 Sun AM at which time Tom and I were forced to catch a cab to the train station to begin our travel home. Of course, the party was still going on and---according to Uschi and Hans--the party transitioned from the old grain hall to Uschi's house with all the left over drink, food, and the friends and relatives still standing to continue until late Sunday night, Germany time. Makes me too tired to think. I'll be posting Tory's adventures to Bop's blog here shortly.

Love, KC
