Sunday Morning
It is wet and grey this morning, so I may not be able to walk to church. Well, I guess I could, but I would look more that a little disheveled if I did. Last Sunday, I came to church directly after the 8K run, so I was in spandex and was very sweaty. Luckily, in this neck of the woods, dress is generally casual anyway. People probably thought that spandex was my every day choice of casual wear. Eeeeeek!
At the workshop yesterday, we learned that the original Methodists asked one another this question at least every week: "So how goes your soul?" The query is intended to make you think of how you felt God's presence in your life during the last week. If someone were to ask me the question today, I would respond that God gave me a brother who so loves our mother that he joined her in a very inconvenient, challenging and difficult journey of healing. I think that is compelling evidence!
Now, Sid, don't let it go to your turnip head.
Love,
Dee
PS I will see you Memorial Day weekend!
