What a Colorful Creature

Does anyone know who the alien is on the blog? He is orange with a bright violet tongue and mouth. Furthermore, he is sticking his tongue out for the whole world to see. Just when I thought the health adventures could not get anymore interesting, I find out that Sid is using some kind of violet colored remedy - that is supposedly toxic. What next???

Diana, I wish I could have run with you on the trail. I don't even care so much about the running - I just would love to spend more time on pretty trails. Oregon is such an awesome place for trails. I hope the walk/run went well for both Kay and Diana. The only trail I know of in Corvallis is the bike path that I also do, however it sounds like there are many more which of course Sid has refused to show me :-)

I was with my sister this weekend and got to see Nina and Alex in action regarding the pool. It was so hot this weekend and they were begging to be able to go to the pool. It is funny to see my sister and George debating who will be the "lucky one" to take them to the pool. Needless to say they both hate going - but someone has to do it.

So I decided to help out and go with my sister so I could keep her company. I can certainly see how a daily trip to there can become really annoying. I don't know how my sister does it in the summer time. Parents continually amaze me. It takes so much patience.

It is certainly entertaining to see how bossy Nina is with her little brother. She takes lots of liberty to declare what Alex is and is not allowed to do. Poor little Alex!!! For example, both of them have their own bunnies. Nina has told Alex that only she can take Alex's bunny out of the cage. He can hold his bunny but she must be the one to take him out because he doesn't really know how to do it. The amazing part is that Alex actually listens to her. Why in the world would he do that? I think because he loves her. Of course I am sure that Sid's sisters never bossed him around :-) :-)

So the fast is finally coming to an end. What a feat indeed. It is amazing they came this far. All I can say is WOW.

I guess they will not be able to celebrate this accomplishment with champagne huh! But they will celebrate with something green, like broccoli. That is just as good right!

Hope everyone is okay and I wish you all the best!

Love,

Sandra
