Monday morning at the farm
It is just past 6 am and I managed to struggle out of the nest I had made in the downstairs bed. I lit a fire, put some water on to boil for my Starbuck's single serve coffee packet, and threw on a robe over my industrial strength polka dot pajamas. I may add a stocking hat.
It isn't super cold, luckily.
Today I am going to gird my loins and take a walk around to see how things have fared in all this rain. I will take the Ranger around the woods loop, but will not take it into the fields. I'm here by myself and do not want to get stuck. Kay put the insulating cap on the outside faucet and Judi and Max covered the tractor and its shed. I will check on other possible places to insulate (pump and pump faucet perhaps?).
If there is nothing else that takes priority, I will start work on straightening up the tool room (the one between the woodshed and the laundry room).
Kay saw two deer in the fields during the day yesterday. Maybe I will spot some wildlife as well!
Tomorrow Kay, Judi and I will go see Aunt Martha.
Wednesday home.
Love,
Dee
