Monday afternoon at the farm

It is a pleasant 52 degrees out, but the rain just won't stop. Here are photos I took on a wet walk late this morning.

A limb fell off one of the apple trees in the old orchard. It was rotted out on the inside. A lone turkey scurried away as I walked to the orchard.

This photo shows how high Rock Creek is.

The rocks at the swimming hole are covered.

As you walk into the woods on the road across the bridge, there are several places where water accumulates. Here's a shot of one of them.

Here's the road on a patch where there is no accumulated water. The long hanging moss (it may not technically be a moss) is a fairly rare growth that has antibiotic qualities.

Here's the spot where a crumbling culvert goes under the road. Unfortunately, the water goes both through the culvert and under it. The road is becoming unstable for heavy loads.

Griffith Creek is moving pretty fast.

Another view of Griffith Creek.
