Stress!
The Beavers are in the NCAA playoffs and are playing Virginia at 9 a.m. (baseball). This is stresser number one.
Further, I have three (3) yes THREE appellate briefs to write in the next 30 days. I am going to get an extension of two weeks on two of them, but the third (a last minute gift from my boss last week) is due in EIGHT days and no extension can be had cuz my boss already got one!
It can be done, but I start fretting about getting sick or some other emergency that might steal a few precious days away. I find writing very difficult and, unlike some of my work projects, extra hard to do when you are tired or sick. Just thinking about not getting sick makes me start imagining symptoms. Guess I won't eat any undercooked chicken sandwiches in the near term.
