Pain

Years ago I would drive to the farm on an afternoon to visit with Uncle Matt. The door would be locked, so I would pound on his bedroom window to wake him up. I can remember he would groan as he got out of bed. Now, I understand why.

I foolishly wrenched my back, and it is surely painful. I mean it HURTS. Isn't that a dumb way to start out the New Year?

Resolution No. 2. Be gentle with the complicated structure of the back muscles.

Cousin Roy and his son and wife are visiting with Judi. They drove down yesterday afternoon. I have not met Bruce's wife so I hope they will stop in on their way to see Aunt Martha.

I miss Sid. It was great having him here and he has been entertaining and helpful. The weather was rainy and cold, but Sid seemed to love it. A while ago, a few minutes ago, the wind was blowing really hard, 45 miles per hour, but it was just a gust so it ended real soon. The only thing I am concerned about is the ground is so soaked from the rain, I'm afraid a strong gust will uproot some

of the trees at the farm. One New Years a big walnut tree in front of my house blew down.

Bopcha, with love.
