New Opportunities

Tom tells me that the racing nationals (the same as the ones that the family helped us with in British Columbia and that Sid and Sandra helped us with in New Jersey) will be held in Bend Washington 13 and 14 September 2008. Have you all ever heard of Bend Washington? I suspect the racing committee either meant North Bend WA or they meant Bend OR, but I'm not sure. Maybe there's a village in WA named Bend that Google Maps doesn't know about. Of course, I can imagine now the relief that Sid and Sandra must be feeling, since they live too far away. However, M&N, Tory, the Blakneys, Kay, Judi, and Bop no doubt have those initial feelings of trepiation. Are you all already running good excuses through your minds? About how busy you'll be in early September? Tee hee. It's a l-o-n-g trip for us from Colorado Springs, even further for me from Omaha. I'll have to redouble my efforts to find a CoSCO job.

Oh, it seems I'll be starting the new intelligence job on Monday. I'm nervous of course. But..it also is a temporary job and will last only until May. I should be used to starting new jobs by this time!!

Sandra, I think your communication skills are enviable. Until you said differently, I thought I understood your note!!! If I could make at least that much sense half asleep, then I could party a lot more and not worry about hitting the sack at 9 pm every night!!
