Trying to unwind on a Sunday night
Hello everyone, Although disappointing, it's Sunday night again. Oh my, Sunday seems to appear quickly. Bopcha I appreciate your comments about the beauty of KC's dogs. They sure do look attractive in those photos, and I'm sure KC is thrilled what we really noticed how nice those shots are. Meanwhile I can't believe all the snow you are getting, I guess that really is so different than what you have experienced in a long time. On this side of the country, we are having opposite weather patterns. Here it is unseasonably warm and in fact you really don't need a winter coat. Apparently, it is going to be unusually warm the entire week. Little Nina is commenting quite a bit on this weather pattern because it is making her frog behave unusually and since the frog senses the warm weather pattern, he is emerging out of his hibernation and really getting ready to come out a lot. Nina is noticing all kinds of exposure on the part of the frog. Of course, this is making it all very interesting for Nina and she is enjoying it. Bopcha, by the way I don't know if puppets at the Alpaca Farm are my sister's creations. But I sure hope that her repertoire of creations becomes expansive there. I know that she would really enjoy having lot's of her work represented as regularly sold peices. Last night, Sid and so decadently enjoyed a meal prepared by the Italian couple who are close friends of ours. They are Veterinarians who have built their careers at Penn Vet but they they are quite talented when it comes to preparing meals. They have put on some rather impressive and remarkable gatherings, parties etc.... Last night they just wanted to have a closing holiday gathering with Sid and I, and just prepare they called a "simple meal." For a first course they made us a pasta dish with a sauce made of broccoli rabi. It was the kind of pasta dish you would never really try anywhere else. The dish was amazing. That was followed by a chicken and mushroon dish. After that they served an unbelievable dessert which she (Francesca) had made herself and included a baked apple with raisins. Needless to say we were full beyond description but it was a very enjoyable meal of course. I know Sid really enjoyed himself. I tried to replicate the meat dish tonight and it turned out somewhat okay, but not quite as impressive as what we had last night, but still very good. Anyway, they are very talented friends. Sid often says that it would be almost impossible to keep up with their standards - they reach near perfection when it comes to entertaining. Anyway we keep up with many other things. I'll be back later with more. In the meantime I hope everyone starts off with a good peaceful week. Love, Sandra
PS
Bopcha, our Italian friends have a beautiful little two year old girl named "Emma"
