Turning 60!!
At 60 years old and one day, Dee decides being the youngest of all the 60 year olds is even more fun that being the oldest of those in their 50s. She happily leaves that chore to brother Sid!!
It's 2 August and 60 years to the day that Bopcha brought a tiny little girl into this world. Friends and family gather at the Bridge to celebrate that moment.
Diana, a little nervous about the end of her 50s, comforted herself with Benton country fair version of the gyros.
The family chef "par'excellance" needed the freshest of produce for Dee's feast, so mother and daughter did some shopping at the local farmer's market.
Bopcha invited everyone to the party, including the local blue jay...
..and Judi invited some other visitors, never seem in Rock Creek before, but welcomed anyway.
The food arrives escorted by three of Dee's sibs in Bop's incredibly useful Polaris Ranger.
Dee tests out her natural athletism as a pitcher...
...as a batter......
...and discovers that she's still as tough as ever, she's still graceful, and best of all, her sense of humor survived the transition to the next decade intact.
Family and friends had to think hard on what single gift they could give Diana that could capture all that she means to them--Sid came up with the idea: an incredibly beautiful guitar. Dee loved it.
Diana isn't the only person rejoicing on this lovely August day, Bopcha celebrates having all her children inside her embrace.
