Hello family! I was robbed last night but not hurt -- street kids on fast moped, a drive by kind of thing, very common here, even for local women I am told. They got my language guides & some cash I had hidden in my book for the flight and then accidently took the book in my bag when I went to dinner. Ah, sigh. The police were very kind and took a full report and gave me warm milk to calm my nerves. I meet my group today and the locals all say there is much greater safety in numbers, so I will be well tended to I am sure. So, one day older and wiser I am just about to start my adventures!



Must dash, but I love you all... and will be extra careful I promise!
