Friday
Judi and I are joining Sally Ann and Janie at the movies about noon.
I finally managed to find out how the Pichts were related to Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Grandma Picht's mother was Mary Longfellow and by tracing her father's line back and then tracing Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's descendants back through his father, the common denominator is William Longfellow II born October 20, 1650 in Horsforth, Guisley, Yorkshire, England and died at sea off Cape Breton on October 31, 1690 (another entry says October 31, 1690 in Anticosti Island) and he left 6 children. Of those six children - Stephen, Anne, Nathan, William, Stephen, Elizabeth (thats right 2 Stephens) we are on the Nathan Longfellow side (born February 5, 1690) and Henry Wadsworth is on the Stephen Longfellow side (born September 22, 1685). It appears our descendant was only a few monbths old when his father died.
You will notice that I am only in the short walk part of the event which means if I am lucky I will get back to the car before Missy Fast Feet.
