Saturday
Okay this was supposed to be the day that Sid and I did Saturday Market and get the remaining produce. Well we did go and Sid was in great spirits and really strong and did most of the shopping and he had to haul me around like a wimp. I was so sick that I was barely walking upright. Some sort of intestional bug but boy or boy am I miserable. After the Market, I came straight home and hit the couch. At this moment, I am probably more miserable than the fasters.
Two chickens hatched this morning. One is doing okay but not sure about the other. Another egg has a hole in it and chick is trying to make his way out. I will give the remaining eggs until Monday morning. I thought I heard peeping coming from one egg earlier and Sid and I stopped by here on our rounds to see if it needed assistance. We made a hole and then peeled a little of the shell back. The egg did have a small chick body (long dead) and I had to have Sid dispose of it. I am not a good animal killer/body disposal person.
