Drama on the "Storm" front

Hello,

Nice to have the blog back up. Nina called me yesterday - in the middle of the day and announced to me that poor little "storm" (the family dog) had been hit by a car. He is okay though. He was not badly injured. He escaped from the backyard as he became distracted with chasing a dog. He ran out into the middle of the street and a van hit him by his head and shoulder. I think the worst of it is just shoulder pain. He is most likely startled by the accident. Apparently though - he behaved like a good herding dog and just sat in the street for a few minutes and quickly went marching (or limping) back the front door. Nina explained to me that he is "going back to his pack." She thinks he could not wait to get back to his pack. I think the Parson's are a little nervous about Storm developing something serious over the next few days. But in general I think they are remaining calm since this afteroon Storm started chasing things again.

Wow, I can't believe I just wrote an entire paragraph about a dog. I always used to wonder how people managed to go on itirelessly about their pets. And now I have definitely become one of them. I love when people tell me their pet stories, and I do really like talking about Storm and our own little pet, the kitten.

I am exhausted. I think I better go to bed soon. Tomorrow is a long day. Sid and I are going to visit one of my colleagues who lives in the country. She wants us to go to her barn and see the horses, and then we will be having dinner with my colleague and family. It should be lots of fun.

I'll write much more later.

Love,

Sandra

Hooray

I am so glad the blog is back. Thank you sooooo much, Sid. Love, Bopcha

Hooray!

I really missed the blog when it was malfunctioning.

Bill and I head for Corvallis today. I'll pick him up at work at 12:30 p.m. and we will hit the road.

I'm pretty nervous about the game. GULP! The Pac 10 is really competitive and unpredictible this season.

Love,

Dee

Meeting with Tory

Bill, JB, Gavin and I met with Tory on Sunday to look at her photos, hear her stories, and eat the chocolate she brought back.

She just LOVED this trip. One of her favorites! She was probably still tired, but she looked great and she said she felt great. She flew Nikole's mother in to stay in her condo with her cats while she was gone.

Tory's job ends November 20. She deserves a little R & R. I hope she gets some before her next job adventure begins.

Murray and Nikole are leaving for a cruise in the next week or two. We don't know where, but we are pretty sure it is somewhere toasty!

KC, you have wonderful children. We love sharing them with you.

Post-Noah's birthday

We had a great time yesterday.

We bought Noah a charcoal suit with teensy weensy pin stripes.

We bought him new black shoes that tie.

Black socks.

V neck t-shirts.

Two dress shirts - one white, one grey.

Two ties with stripes.

A black belt.

He looked fabulous!

I played the birthday songs left for him on our answering machine and he enjoyed them very much!

We ate dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant - what fun! A huge plate was placed in the middle of the table. Each of us ordered a different dish and they were each plopped down on a different part of the giant plate. Each of us got a little plate with a flat piece of bread folded in fourths. We tore off pieces of bread and scooped up the food on the big plate with the pieces. Wow! we were really full. But that didn't stop us from going to Noah's apartment afterwards to share his cake with his roommates.

I love birthdays!

Noah's Birthday

Today is Noah's birthday.

Bill took the day off and is picking Noah up after his 10 to 12 class. Then they will pick me up and we will go to Jessica's mall and we will have her meet us at Macy's on her lunch hour so she can help us pick out a suit, shirt, tie and shoes for Noah (his birthday present - an interviewing suit). Then we will all go to dinner after JB gets off work.

Sandra, the hula hoop story was hilarious.

We are meeting up with Tory on Sunday.

Love,

Dee
