Diana's chick is fat and healthy.

Sunday

Well we are sitting here in rainey Oregon eating a butterhorn and coffee and waiting for the computer store to open. Sid made me sign on to see if I was capable of using this site. Did I mention that I am anti-cell phones, computers and anything you have to program. Did I forget to mention just how grumpy it makes me.

Okay folks this was only a test run to prove that I could use this. Bye.

Pre-Christmas

Okay Sid has now logged me onto the blog so let's see if I remember how. Sid and Dee just fixed breakfast for us and Judi coughed up the location of her fruitcakes, so we are good to go.

We have taken pictures of Sid with his beard (which we understand is going to go). I think he looks postively handsome. We are headed off to the movies shortly.

KC & Tom hope you get the online goodies that I ordered. One never knows when you are online what you will get.

Well all hope the holidays are good for all.

Merry Christmas from the southend Washington person.

Diana and company have arrived

Eeeeek! We arrived at about 11:30 pm and divied into the warm electric blankets. This morning, upon my descening the stairs I saw a strange man in Mother's kitchen. I hit him on the head with a frying pan only to find out as he lay crumpled on the floor that he was a hairy version of my own dear brother!!!!

Memories of 50 years

The house at the Ranger Station that we used to live in was empty. Sid and i peaked in the windows but it didn't look the same. The outside was certainnly different colors. We walked aroound the back, and looked for a path to the river but just encountered some gates. Overall it was very nice. Soon we will have some pictures to show you. Canyonville was different but we found the school, the hospital where Sid was born.

The weather was lousy, lots of rain coming down, I mean driving down from Eugene, Snow on the foothills, but not too bnd jn Canyon ville.

Joe, I will try to come up with another poem for you. You are SO NICE to ask.

Love, Bopcha

News of the World...or at least from joe............

Alright, mess with me today. I can take it! I just finished a 2 day leak repair in snow* and ice. Dangling on the edge of an 8 foot mudhole in an unknown backhoe, complaining customers and mud and guts everywhere. On top of that, it rained in South America and my soybeanmeal spread widened. I can't wait until the next full moon--- Christmas Eve.

My Dear Bopcha, the pictures of you on the Oregon Coast makes me long for the West. I've told Sid time and time again to create a working project that needs my assistance and I will be there. Colleen even supports it, which makes me suspicious of her. But nontheless

I would have never guessed 88, (incidentally 8 is my lucky number). Your vegetable occupation sounds great are they hiring? I always look forward to poems you wish to share.

Paging through the Blog, I noticed and coincidentally around the same time, "Teeth" caught my attention. My oldest son Joe Jr. a Sergeant in the Air Force, while working (goofing off) at the Air Force base, he and his commarades were shooting an 'Air Gun' at each other ( but wearing saftey goggles) managed to get his front tooth shot out. Fortunately, our tax dollars paid for its repair. I told him not to expect a Purple Heart.

Sandra, I know you won't, but you and your Mom are more than welcome to stop by my parents on Christmas Eve. We have soooooooo many people and about 77 fishes now, ( I remember when it was about 6 persons and KFC on the side, ( I hated fish when I was a kid). 2502 Chestnut Ave. 19403

Sid, the snapshots of you thumb are disgusting. God willing, you'll never get a vasectomy. Heal fast Sir, you are the MVG (Most Valuable Grinder), and we will have 300 + pounds to grind this year.

Best to all and Happy Holidays.

Joe

PS. Sid this is the 2nd time I had to recreate this. Why???????????

Glad to be on MI

Goodness gracious! I am really glad I missed all the computer fixing efforts! Too much excitement for me.

Today Bill, Jessica, and I wrap presents at Atlantic Street Center. Atlantic Street Center operates a toy shop for poor folks every year, and JB and I volunteer and wrap presents the people have picked out for their kids. It's fun. Bill is a horrible wrapper, so he helps by doing other stuff that needs doing. We signed Noah up to help, but now he has to work. He's saving money to buy his ticket to Vegas to help celebrate his friend Brandon's 21st birthday on January 3. Don't worry, Brandon's parents will be there, too.

I'd better get to work. Oh, wait -- I brought cookies Murray made for our party to work. 2 dozen at least. The whippet that lives in the office managed to get up on the drainboard in the little kitchen and eat them all! I caught him nestled in a pile of crumbs, licking his lips. Sigh!

Love,

Dee

DSL vs. DSL

It seems I was not clear , Bopcha is running the operating system "DSL" or "DAMN SMALL LINUX"

She already has "Digital Subscriber Line" but after speaking with KC, Bopcha is saying I should sign her up for another high speed digital line being offered for $30.00 a month. Why Thompson Why, in heavens name do you want Bopcha to have two digital subscriber lines??? but I give up, we will order it today.

Good Grief!!

Love Sid

Success

:-) Happy Days, the computer is working, thanks to the genius in our family. Bopcha

Bopcha moves to DSL

Good Grief!! I managed to destroy Bopcha's operating system by knocking the speaker off the computer table on to the power supply which in turn caused a corruption of the internal working of XP!! Sheeeesh!! It was Joe's fault!! I'm sure I saw a fleeting image of him in my mind just prior to the events unfolding.

But since getting joe to show his face on the west coast is harder than pulling one's own teeth, I have had to step up and get the computer back up and operational. Since bopcha likes to stay on the cutting edge of things and I refuse to donate any more money to the evil empire. Bopcha is now operating out of the LINUX enviroment. "Damn Small Linux" to be exact.

To quote a sib "Don't mess with me today".

Love Sid

Well as usual, I find it impossible to load a picture to Bopcha's blog. I think Sid did something that locks me out. Is that possible Sid???? Makes me crazy--which is probably the purpose of the plot. Meanwhile, I have a picture in the media library that illustrates the weather conditions for the races last Saturday. There was about 4 inches of fresh powder. The dog in the picture is a friend's sloughi. I couldn't take pictures of the borzoi because they were all in the same race. Handling Tornado and Nitro, one in each hand at the start line, is a true test of one's strength and balance, even without having to stand on packed powder. Handling a camera too would be impossible, even for intrepid me.

I'll bet Sid misses Sandra, but probably not half as much as the family who must take him "straight" without any leavening from Sandra's presence. Be strong Bop!!

For some reason, I'm able to access the blog today from my computer at work. A truly rare instance.

I sure enjoyed seeing the pictures of Noah and his afro, the snap of the gatherer's at Dee's Christmas party, and Bop at the coast. Reading the notes is fun as well. I don't get to read the blog very often, especially since my landlord keeps disconnecting the router than enables me to access the internet from my little house. Ah well. At least the rent isn't very high. Soon (Thursday PM after work) I start the 600 mile drive back to Tom and the ranch. It will be truly wonderful to be home again. Love, KC.

Grrrr.. you're messing with me Thomps :-)

Thumb

KC! That movie was terrible!!!! Sid liked it though,. I guess there is no accounting for taste..

Below is a picture of Sid's thumb.
