Diana that is a great picture. KC was supposed to leave today and I am assuming she has. Did a dryrun to Salem to see if I could find the gym where the graduation will take place. Glad I did because it takes an hour from Corvallis to get there and then it took me several more minutes to find the proper driveway leading up the hill to the Gym.
Diana the University said to get there before 9:30 if possible because parking fills up fast.
It looks like Joey and Jonathan are also coming in for the ceremony. It will be fun to show them the farm.
Hii everyone. 16 hours, Sid!!!!! I can only imagine. Can you post some pictures of chicks on the website. I can't wait to see them!!!!!!! Good luck on the farm!
Here's the king of the chicken yard--there are bunches of new little hens, so he'll need those big spurs on his feet to defend his kingdom against hungry skunks, raccoons, and other predators.
Here is one of the darling little ducklings (Aunt Judi has four) that will soon be leaving their current home (the bathtub) for a paddock that has lots of delicious things to eat.
Nina most excellent grades. I have never had a rabbit but boy are they cute. If you come out this summer I will finally get to meet all of you.
Aunt Judi has 15 chicks and 4 ducks on the farm. The chicks are growing fast and the ducks are still really little. I have 9 eggs in my incubator and we will see if they hatch. I will let you know.
Hi everyone!! It's Nina! I miss you guys so much!! Especially Bopcha. I hope you feel better. I just wanted to let you know that I got straight A's on my report card for the 3rd marking period!!! I am Oregon-sick. I hope I'll be there soon. I've been working very hard in school and with teen-drama stuff. (It's just easier to avoid it.
Guess what!?!? I got bunnies!!! I got a orange-white bunny named Pum. (French for apple.) He's a mini-lop so he's gonna get big but he's still got the floppy ears! I love him so much. He's my special bunny. I picked out in the store ecause he was the runt and nobody likes the runt so I took him under my wing. My brother also git a bunny. His name is Clouds. He is a white-black bunny. He is a dwarf so he's got short ears and he'll stay small hence the name, dwarf. How are the chickens? I smell chicks!
I miss Oregon so much. I think I'm coming there this summer! I hope Iget to see everyone!!! How's the rander. Ha ha ha. I miss you. Write back!!!
Hey, I have one of those pay as you go phones (Tracfone) and it has been known to get reception when some phones don't. I am very happy with my phone - very simple and it does exactly what I need it to do. My lettuce is poking its little head up.
When Sid arrives and has some down time, I am going to ask him to run a bead of sealant around my leaky window. I have the stuff but have been waiting for a nice warm day.
I had two eggs incubating in the little incubator and onr tried getting out of the shell and wasn't successful and died. I should have helped him. So, I have invested in an incubator that will hold ten eggs and if they hatch, and there is no room at the farm, I will place an ad in the paper and give them away. I got the eggs from Ebay and have no idea what type of chickens they are. Incubator arrived today and eggs should arrive sometime this week and/or weekend.
I think KC arrives tonight and when does Sid think he will arrive?
Oh no he is on his way. Look out for the noisy car. Bopcha, you are a lucky girl to get pretty flowers from a young man ;
I wanted to give all of you the phone number for his cell phone number (215) 264-7725. And may I add that the only reason he even bothered to bring a cell phone is because thought he might need one as he drives 3000 miles. So I went to get a "pay as you go" phone. Hmmmm!
Boy did it ever rain last night! Fun when one is dozing, not so much fun when one is trying to get to work without that wet kitten look.
Mother, I have a gallon of really good sauerkraut at my house, ready to come to your house. I will let you know the delivery plan as soon as I figure one out.
I love sauerkraut on top of a big hot dog! That and a sunny Beaver baseball game (one where we actually win) would be the perfect afternoon!
Repak was today instead of Wednesday. But it was for this one time only. When my name was drawn I became the owner of two dining table chairs, that were 'knocked down' and packaged. Now, that KC is coming down and Judi and Kay are here, we will be having lots of fun putting the chairs together. It is great having so much skilled help.
We were treated to a few light sprinkles. and the weather is fairly warm. When I look at the temperatures in the paper, I look to see what it is in Philadelphia. There isn't too much difference!
The RN was here this morning and brought two big roses and some ferns. He is really patient with me, and took my blood pressure, listened to my lungs and heart (and no, I didn't have to get undressed). I was glad when he left because I had to leave for Tangent where the Repak is held. Today we packaged a lot of string beans and carrots. Frozen, of course.
